About this Job:

We're seeking a LEAD low-voltage technician (at least 5 years experience) for a full-time role with a rapidly growing low voltage contractor.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • At least 5 years experience wiring, terminating, and troubleshooting low voltage electrical systems
  • Self-starter, punctual, professional, and works well with others
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including communication with clients
  • Identify all materials and resources needed to complete project
  • Clean and maintain job site, tools, and vehicles
  • Manage assets/equipment, and control the costs of services delivered
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and diagrams
  • Own basic tools and equipment, and be able to use all needed tools for routing, securing, and terminating wire and wiring harnesses
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle to transport tools and equipment to different job sites in the Tri-State area
  • Able to pass a drug and background check

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Install and bend EMT conduit for low voltage applications
  • Pull, hang, and run wires
  • Mount backboxes, displays, and security & control boxes
  • Terminate Cat5, RG59, RG6, speaker lines, and communication lines
  • Punch down Cat5
  • Troubleshooting and testing
  • Knowledge of computer networking and IP addressing
